Al-Quds Al-Arabi, the London-based Arabic newspaper is celebrating the 25th Anniversary.
I read the opening article by its Editor-in-Chief, Abdel-Bari Atwan, and so I have a balanced evaluation.

Al-Quds Al-Arabi has variable news from all around the Arab World and it was one of Journals to balance the Gulf-funded Newspapers which were (and till now) mouthpieces for the oil-rich dynasties in the Arab Gulf such as Al-Hayat and Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, two Saudi newspapers.

Abdel-Bari Atwan is famous Palestinian-British Journalist who is well-know by his strong critics and aggressive vocal attacks against the tyrant Arab rulers and there is no doubt that all Arab regimes are totalitarian and oppressive, however, Al-Quds Al-Arabi like any Journal by having sponsors who direct the editorial line according to their political interests.

For instance, The Newspaper avoids to criticize the Jordanian regime as well as the Qatari regime, now a days, meanwhile, The same Journal attacks other regimes by various degrees. So the Editorial line is fluctuating according to sponsors.

However, The newspaper stood against Iraq's Invasion as well as NATO invasion in Afghanistan, furthermore, Al-Quds Al-Arabi stands against both Oslo and Madrid's Israeli-PLO Agreements since these treaties threatens the Palestinian cause.
