"Government of Kuwait announced that the NATO has been awarded Kuwaiti land for military exercises according to the NATO Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, in 2004", Al-Quds Al-Arabi Newspaper said today.
Turkey has played a major role in supporting the Syrian rebels since it not only maintains starting bases for the Syrian rebels, but also a router for the military supplies and a shelter.
The Qatari royal family has also played a major role in the overthrowing of Gaddafi regime in Libya, also supports the Anti-Assad rebels in Syria.

One of the participants in the NATO workshops for the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative is the current Tunisian foreign minister, Rafiq Abdul-Salam who occupied the head of AlJazeera center for studies in Doha at that time (Feb. 8, 2010).
