Status Hystericus is a medical term used to describe prolonged hysteria symptoms which intensified mentally and physically. However, I link this term politically with GCC leaders and propagandists.
Moderate Arab regimes --as an extension to their western allies-- have scheduled a deadline for toppling Syrian president Bashar al-Assad since 2011. They pushed all possible efforts to overthrow Syrian leadership such as media, weapons, fighters and cash money.
According to Financial Times, Qatari regime paid $ 50,000 for each defected Syrian personnel. Huge corporate media were served Syrian rebels such as Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya TV channels.
Qatari and Saudi royal families clearly managed to overthrow the Syrian president regardless to 'costs' or victims and they were hiding behind ironic pretexts like supporting Syrian people despite these monarchies lack elections or any representative institutions.
When Hezbollah directly involved the battle in Syria, Hysteric symptoms intensified on all levels; They used sectarianism, misleading news and fabricated You tube videos.
The US administration announced military support for Syrian opposition -- by the way, military flow was from the beginning of the war--, but the counter-front is wider than ever. Iran has parallel formal army called "Al-Quds Army" and Russia apparently has stable position besides Syrian government other than Hezbollah.
GCC's Status Hystericus will be resolved later on and Syrian conflicting sides will sit together to negotiate sooner or later.
There will be no victory in such type of war. Innocent civilians are paying the price till international players decide political solution.
